Bucky
1 1/2 year old Bucky is ready for his forever home! We classify him as a “Blue” basset. He has a “dusty” look to his coat.
Bright, quick to learn, and with a high energy level, he is used to the companionship of another young basset to run and play with in his foster home, and also loves long walks with foster mom. He is learning the skills associated with walking well on a leash and paying attention to commands.
Although he doesn’t mind sleeping in his crate at night, he does not like to stay in it during the day, and would not do well in a home where he is left alone for hours at a time every day.
Because he is young and boisterous, he would be best with older children. He has not been around cats.
If you have an active lifestyle and are looking for a lively and loving companion to share it with, ask about Bucky!

Cody
Cody is a 7 mo/old adorable basset boy who was born with the bones in his front legs growing at different rates. GABR took him to an orthopedic surgeon who removed 2” of the ulnar bones in each leg. The bones are healed now, but Cody’s legs will always look bowed.
It doesn’t slow him down one bit—especially when it comes to getting into mischief! He loves toys, socks, playing, all other dogs, and cuddling on the couch. Cody is extremely timid when he meets new people, but will come to them when he is ready.
He is doing well on house training and walking on a leash. He is crate trained and has no aggressions.
Although Cody has no restrictions, he might be best in a home with fewer or no stairs. If you can give this little guy a loving home, you will be rewarded with lots of love in return.
Blaze
Meet Blaze, a spirited eight-year-old pup weighing in at healthy 35 pounds and is house trained. Blaze is on a journey to find his forever home.
Blaze can be a bit timid at first. He appreciates having his space, and his foster home has been helping him build confidence by getting down to his level and offering gentle encouragement. This approach allows Blaze to feel secure as he navigates new experiences. However, his curiosity is boundless, and he requires a fenced yard to keep his adventurous nose from leading him into mischief.
On a leash, Blaze is enthusiastic and loves going for walks, although he tends to pull. He is not crate trained, as he finds it uncomfortable. While Blaze shows some signs of food, toy, and treat aggression, his foster home is working with him to help manage these behaviors.
Blaze's social skills with other dogs are still developing; he’s about 50/50—sometimes eager to play, yet unsure of how to engage. In the home, he interacts well with the older children, though he warms up to them slowly.
While he can be left alone for up to six hours, He is comfortable with stairs, adding to his adaptability in the home. He's a great dog, he loves his people, loves giving "hugs," loves the couch, loves to speak his mind.
Blaze is a loving companion in the making, with a playful spirit just waiting for the right family to help him shine. If you’re looking for a dog who will bring joy and energy into your life, Blaze may be the perfect match!
